Are there any readily available alternatives to Kubota factory wheel assemblies when replacing the rear deck-gauge wheels on the G1800 with a 48 inch deck. Kubotas' assemblies are prohibitively priced and they are welded up so you can't easily change components. I would like to put on a wider wheel with more flotation since the originals were so narrow as to make ruts in my turf.

Reggie, I can't answer your question but, i would like to ask how you have liked your G1800. I guess you haven't been satisfied with the size of the tire in back but other than that how do you like the product. I am looking to buy the bagger option as well. Curious if you have that and if you feel it does a good job, I have leaves and pine needles year round. So, i have to have the bagger. If you do have it, is it easy to disconnect. I have some areas that I will have to mow once in a while that I will not want to bag. Thanks. MIke. ....

I have a G1800S bought for $5900 w/94 hours. Have the 46" snow blower, 48" deck and the bagger option. Bagger does a nice job on picking up "stuff" if you get the needles soon after they fall it should do the job nicely. If they get pressed in, you're SOL - get a rake......Had a similar problem with gage wheel. Mine was the front. If you take a hard right turn when the bagger is mounted, the weight can cause the gage wheel to auger in. I spoke with local dealer and he said I had an early version and they had an add on kit with 2 tension springs that suspends the deck. I ended up picking up 2 large springs from a junk dealer and using some rubber bungy cords and solved the problem. Doesn't look that great, but I saved $150.00.All in all a fine machine. ....
